Wiltshaw and Robinson Carlton Ware Blush 'Flowering Heather' Biscuit Barrel c1906

A superb Edwardian blushware biscuit barrel in a very unusual and elegant shape. Hand painted heather blooms in purple, pink, blue and yellow, edged with floral garlands. A stunning piece in excellent condition; no damage or signs of wear. Probably never used. Silver plated rim, handle and lid. Printed W & R Crown and Bluebird mark with Carlton Ware and painted pattern number 2723. Registration number 488460 for 1906. Height to rim 15.75cm (6.2in)
