A lovely 'Pansy' preserve pot with original Tudric pewter lid, produced initially for Liberty and subsequently for Connell of Cheapside and other retailers. Fine tube lining and rich colours on a deep cobalt blue ground, the pewter with original patina. In excellent condition; no chips, cracks or restoration. Some mild staining underneath on the base from use, but nothing to detract from the look or display value of this beautiful example. Impressed MOORCROFT with MADE IN ENGLAND and the lid stamped TUDRIC MOORCROFT with shape number 01331. Height with lid 10cm (3.95in)
