A lovely Wemyss tea cup and saucer. The cup features a black leghorn cockerel with two hens on sponged and painted grass, while the saucer features another cockerel and a green anthemion pattern to the outside rim. Both pieces in excellent condition; no chips, cracks or restoration. Fine natural crazing associated with these wares, but nothing to detract. Rare to find in such good order. Cup impressed 'WEMYSS', saucer impressed 'WEMYSS WARE R. H. & S.' Diameter of saucer 12cm (4.75in)
