A superb Wedgwood majolica plate nicely modelled as a scallop shell with a Whieldon type mottled glaze in brown, ochre and green. In excellent condition - no chips, cracks or restoration and showing little sign of wear. A lovely example of mid-Victorian pottery. Impressed WEDGWOOD and date letters for April 1863. Width 21.5cm (8.5in)
