An enchanting Wedgwood fairyland lustre plate designed by Daisy Makeig-Jones. Beautifully decorated with the rare 'Roc Centre' variation of 'Imps on a Bridge'. A magical scene with maroon imps crossing a bridge watched by elves and flower fairies while a green Roc bird flies above in a violet sky. Below the bridge in the deep sapphire water, another imp in a boat is watched by a golden bird. A charming and intricate scene framed by a lovely pale orange lustre and gilt border in the Twyford motif featuring flowers, elves and fairies. In excellent condition - no chips, cracks or restoration and showing little sign of wear. Gold Portland vase mark with Wedgwood Made in England and painted pattern reference W558X. Diameter 27cm (10.6in)
