A rare Wedgwood plate commemorating The Alamo, printed in dark blue with a fine engraving of the San Antonio Mission framed by a border of leaves and roses. Made for Newton, Weller and Wagner of San Antonio and imported by Jones, McDuffee and Stratton of Boston. In excellent condition - no chips, cracks or restoration. Printed and impressed Wedgwood marks with details of the siege, retailer and importer. Diameter 23.5cm (9.25in)
