Walter Moorcroft Blue 'Spring Flowers' Large Covered Bowl c1950 (Sold)

First introduced by William Moorcroft in the early 1930s and continued by Walter in various colours, this large size covered bowl is beautifully decorated in the original blue ground colourway of 'Spring Flowers'. The lid displays the full design while the base has three different sprays of flowers, all in the richest of Moorcroft colours. In excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. There is some age crazing to the base underneath, which I personally like to see on old Moorcroft. A real gem of a piece. Impressed Moorcroft marks to both bowl and cover. Diameter 14.6cm (5.75in)
