Information
A fine Victorian majolica bread platter. Rich autumnal colours of green, brown and yellow ochre with a border of wheat husks and a central panel of mottled 'tortoiseshell'. Condition is very good with no chips or cracks just the usual fine crazing to the glaze consistent with age and normal usage. It has three stilt marks to the front from firing in the kiln. A lovely example and an unusual shape. 24cm (9.4in) diameter.
