Unusual Shorter & Son 'Medina' Art Deco Jug by Mabel Leigh c1935 (Sold)

A rare and unusual Shorter art deco shaped 'Medina' jug signed by Mabel Leigh (a talented young designer who worked for Shorter briefly from c1933-35). Incised flowers and leaves hand enamelled in green, yellow, red and purple. The rim decorated with an iznic style geometric border. An impressive example of art deco design. In great condition. Printed 'Shorter and Son' mark with incised Shorter England and Mabel Leigh signature. Height 12.75cm (5in)
