A fine pair of late 19th century flatback Staffordshire figures of a gardener and his wife. He is standing proudly by a plinth with a large vase of flowers, his spade leaning to one side. She is holding a similar vase and displaying an apron full of produce. The clothing of both figures are boldly enamelled in dark green and yellow. Both are in excellent condition, showing mild age related crazing and minor wear to the gilding. There are no chips, cracks or restoration. Height 30.5cm (12in)
