A lovely majolica plate with a central basket weave panel and a wide border of palm, banana and bamboo leaves on a deep cobalt blue ground. Superb colours and in excellent condition - no chips, cracks or restoration. Some fine age related crazing on close inspection, typical of these wares and nothing to detract from the display value of this colourful example. An unusual design with a good tortoiseshell glaze to the reverse.
