Unusual Edward Radford Art Deco 'Butterfly Ware' Jug c1935 (Sold)

An early E. Radford art deco design from the Butterfly range of wares. A lovely rustic tree shaped jug with branch handle, embossed with hand painted yellow flowers and a vibrant butterfly enamelled in blues and purple. A rare shape to find and in excellent condition; no chips, cracks or restoration. Some age related crazing underneath, but nothing to detract. A lovely example with the usual fine Radford 'satin' glaze. Stamped 'E. Radford' signature with Butterfly Ware. Height 17.2cm (6.75in)
