Information
A rare square based 19th century Staffordshire figure of a portly snuff taker sitting on a footstool with leg outstretched. The features are very reminiscent of some caricatures of William IV. Fine colouring, including lots of cobalt blue to his jacket, indicative of this period of production. In great condition, showing age related crazing (nice to see) and a minor flake to the iron red on the back corner of the stool (see image 4). A real gem. Height 14cm (5.5in)
