Unusual Carlton Ware Handcraft 'Floribunda' Jam Pot with Saucer c1928 (Sold)

A lovely hand painted jam pot and cover with under saucer in the Carlton Ware 'Handcraft' range produced around 1928 to 1932. The 'Floribunda' design of pink and yellow flowers on a white ground with deep cobalt blue borders works beautifully on this shape. The jam pot base and lid both have moulded berries painted in blue and are a unique feature of these unusual items. Finished in a satin/matt glaze typical of Handcraft wares. All three pieces in great condition. Saucer and pot both with blue Carlton Ware script marks and painted pattern number 3236. Diameter of saucer 12cm (4.75in)
