Information
A superb 19th century majolica wall vase or pocket modelled as shells and a ground of sifted 'sand' with an applied flower sprig. A lovely vibrant deep yellow ochre glaze. Unmarked but very reminiscent of pieces produced by Henry Tooth of the Bretby pottery. In great condition; no major cracks, chips or restoration. Some minor fritting of flower petals, noticeable only on very close inspection. Displays beautifully. A rare example. Length 19cm (7.5in)
