Information
There has been much debate as to the use of these very small 'chamber' pots and it's now thought that this type with rounded rims are likely to be vomit or spitting pots. Even smaller than childrens' chamber pots, they are rare items to find, especially in good order. Printed in medium blue with an unknown pattern, repeated both sides, of a boy on a swing between two trees with two girls and a pet dog. A charming scene to brighten up the sickroom. In excellent condition; no chips, crazing, discolouration or restoration. A couple of very tiny firing cracks out of sight under the foot rim and part of the manufacturing process (nothing serious - see image 5). Unmarked, though possibly Bovey Tracey or G F Bowers of Tunstall. Diameter of rim 14cm (5.5in)
