Susie Cooper Crown Works Tube Lined 'Water Lily' Plate c1933

A rare Crown Works 'Water Lily' dished plate. Tube lined in dark green and painted in shades of green and yellow on a pale green ground. In good condition - no chips, cracks or restoration. A small glaze pale spot near the centre and a tube lined miss near the edge of one leaf are part of manufacture and the experimental nature of these wares. Susie Cooper Crown Works Burslem 1932 backstamp and date impressed for 1933. Diameter 23cm (9in)
