A colourful Royal Doulton floral chintz rack plate with a central panel of exotic birds in Persian style flowers and foliage. Surrounded by a vibrant border of stylised flowers and leaves in cerise, blue, green, purple and yellow, it's a beautiful example of the 'Persian A' series, introduced in 1911 and withdrawn by 1940. In excellent condition. Printed Royal Doulton marks and impressed date for 1938. Diameter 27cm (10.6in)
