A stunning Westcott jug showing a gaffer with a basket standing at a garden gate. Printed 'I be all the way from Zummerset' and Noke signature on the reverse. In excellent condition; no chips, cracks or restoration. Fine glaze crazing typical of these wares, but nothing to detract. A superb display item with good colours and a rare shape to find especially in such good order. Special Royal Doulton Gaffers mark and painted D4210. Height 14cm (5.5in), the second largest of four sizes produced.
