A lovely Cotswold Shepherd rack plate. The Dorothy shape depicting the shepherd with crook and lantern, his dog standing beside him as they watch the flock. Fine colours and in excellent condition; no chips, cracks or restoration. Some minor long strand glaze crazing though not obvious and mentioned really for accuracy. Royal Doulton mark with 'The Cotswold Shepherd' and painted series number D5561. Impressed date for 1936. Width 20.3cm (8ins)
