Information
A beautiful Maling 'Azalea' wall plaque. The flowers are hand painted in rich crimson and purple, the leaves picked out in green enamels and the design then overprinted in best gold. These vibrant colours are then set against a 'patched' background of pale pink, green and yellow lustre washes. In excellent condition; no chips, cracks or restoration. The gilding is lovely; rare to find in such good order. Pierced foot rim for hanging. Printed Maling mark, painted pattern number 6439 and impressed date for August 1938. Diameter 29.25cm (11.5in)
