Superb John Rogers 'Tivoli' Pattern Twiffler or Dessert Plate c1820

A lovely Rogers plate printed in medium blue with a slightly indented edge and rounded foot rim. An integral border of lilies and other flowers on a stippled background frames a scene showing part of Hadrian's Villa at Tivoli. In excellent condition with a fine rippled blue glaze which shows signs of clean age related crazing. Rare to find this dessert plate size, especially in such good order. Impressed 'Rogers' and printed 'Tivoli'. Diameter 21.5cm (8.5in)
