Superb Gaudy Welsh 'Swansea Cottage - Tulip Pattern' Bone China Teapot c1850 (Sold)

A stunning Gaudy Welsh teapot beautifully decorated with the Swansea Cottage or Tulip pattern. In excellent condition; no chips, cracks, staining or restoration and showing little sign of wear or use. The dark spot on the lid handle is a dot of cobalt blue from the original firing. Rare to find early teapots in such good order. An absolute gem. Unmarked. Length handle to spout 26cm (10.25in)
