Superb Aesthetic Movement J Roth 'Wild Rose' Cobalt Blue Majolica Jug c1880

A rare Aesthetic Movement majolica jug in strong colours with a deep cobalt blue background and wild roses in relief with a fine turquoise interior. Lovely shape with branched handle and in great condition; no chips, cracks or restoration. Unmarked, though attributed to Joseph Roth (for a teapot with impressed marks see here). Overall length 14.5cm (5.7in)
