Information

A superb art deco Royal Winton three compartment tray (the name used in the Winton shape books). The central dish modelled as basket work with a spray of vibrant pink geranium flowers. The other two compartments naturalistically modelled as geranium leaves in blues, greens and brown. The whole beautifully hand painted in bright colours with lots of detail. In great condition, the enamel colours being particularly good. There is overall age related glaze crazing (more noticeable on the reverse) which is a common feature of this type of ware and doesn't detract. A striking display item and a rare shape to find. Full 'Grimwades, Royal Winton' and 'Gera' mark, with registration marks for the U.K. and Canada (1934). Length 30.5cm (12in)
