A fine Spode 'Gothic Castle' platter printed in medium blue with a distinctive castle in a chinoiserie landscape framed by a border with vignettes of figures and animals (deer. elephants, giraffes and horses). In excellent condition - no chips, cracks or restoration and showing little sign of wear. Nice to find in such good order. No foot rim and a lovely pale blue rippled glaze. Width 28.25cm (11.1in)
