A lovely Ivory Queen's Ware posy basket - a classic Sowerby shape not seen that often. Illustrated in the 1882 pattern books shape number 1435. In excellent condition - no chips, cracks or repairs. Minor inclusions and marks but still a fine example of Victorian pressed glass, the moulding being particularly crisp. Fully marked with Sowerby 'peacock' trademark and diamond registration for 14th August 1879. Length 8cm (3.1in)
