A lovely purple malachite glass salt in the form of an open basket - shape number 1458 in the Sowerby 1880 catalogues. Finely moulded with leaves and flowers, it has good 'marbling' and colours. In excellent condition. A rare item to find, especially in such good order. Sowerby peacock trademark.
