This rare flint glass nursery rhymes posy trough works particularly well in clear glass. The Walter Crane inspired design (from 'An Alphabet of Old Friends' published in 1874) features children in Victorian dress ringing bells and playing 'Oranges and Lemons'. In great condition; no chips or cracks and only minor bubbles and strawmarks associated with 19th century pressed glass. Crisp modelling. Sowerby peacock trademark to base. Length 11cm (4.3in)
