(Sold) Good Clarice Cliff Bizarre Autumn 'Crocus' Tea Plate c1934

A fine Clarice Cliff Bizarre tea plate, beautifully painted in Autumn Crocus circa 1934. In great condition, with little sign of wear. Slight crazing of the honey glaze, more noticeable on the reverse (see image 4). Over the years I have seen hundreds of crocus tea plates, but try to find one that isn't scratched and it's a different matter. They are few and far between - this one is a lovely clean example. Lithographed 'CROCUS, Bizarre by Clarice Cliff' and date impressed '34'. Diameter 16.75cm (6.6in)
