Shorter and Son 'Khimara' Art Deco Jug by Mabel Leigh c1935 (Sold)

A superb Mabel Leigh art deco shaped 'Khimara' jug incised and hand painted with geometric bands of triangles and zigzags in cream, grey, ochre and apple green. Finished with a fine matt glaze. A lovely example of ethnic inspired Period Pottery. In excellent condition; no chips, cracks or restoration. Printed 'Shorter and Son' mark with incised Shorter England and Mabel Leigh signature (difficult to see because of the dark glaze). Height 15.5cm (6.1in)
