Shelley Intarsio Miniature Two Handled Vase by Frederick Rhead c1910

Stock Status: In Stock
Information
A fine miniature Intarsio vase decorated with stylised art nouveau flowers in yellow, crimson, purple and green on a dark navy blue ground. In good antique condition though it does have a small chip on the foot rim underneath (see image 5). Really only noticed on close inspection and not seen on display. Printed Shelley late Foley "Intarsio" mark with shape/pattern number 3109. Rare to find Frederick Rhead intarsio designs with the Shelley mark as Walter Slater was starting to produce his new updated designs at this point ( I have listed an identical vase with the earlier Wileman mark). Height 10cm (4in)

A similar vase is shown on page 83 of 'Wileman' by Richard Knight and Susan Hill.
