A lovely Hilda Cowham unspillable 'baby's plate' designed for Shelley. Printed and hand enamelled with a little girl feeding chickens, the rim with roosters, hens and chicks and hand painted green trim. In excellent condition - no chips, cracks or restoration and showing little sign of wear. Rare to find, especially in such good order. Signed 'Hilda Cowham', with 'Shelley, England' and registration number 709688 (the first series of her designs introduced in 1924) to the reverse. Base diameter 20.75cm (8.2in)
