This was a very popular shape made by the Imperial Glass Company of Ohio and is usually seen in carnival glass colours with associated iridescence. The opal versions are much rarer and here we have a 10.5 inch vase in yellow opal or vaseline. The opalescence has great depth, with lots of gold and blue reflections and looks fantastic in both natural and electric light. In excellent condition. Height 26.75cm (10.5in), diameter of base 9cm (3.5in)
