Royal Worcester 'Little Boy Blue' Nursery Rhyme Figure 3306 by Freda Doughty c1940
A rare first edition Royal Worcester figure group from the Nursery Rhyme series by Freda Doughty, famous for her delightful studies of children. This finely painted model of Little Boy Blue with his sheep highlighted in lavender and beige was produced briefly in 1940 (later models with a black mark were produced after WWII). In excellent condition; no chips, cracks or restoration. A real little gem, full of character. Printed Royal Worcester mark in puce with date code for 1940 (three circles and eight dots) and model number 3306. Width 11.75cm (4.6in), height 9cm (3.5in)
