A rare first edition Royal Worcester figure group from the Nursery Rhyme series by Freda Doughty, famous for her delightful studies of children. This finely painted model of a child in a yellow smock with a greyish purple goose was produced briefly in 1940 (later models with a black mark were produced after WWII). In excellent condition; no chips, cracks or restoration. A real little gem, full of movement and character. Printed Royal Worcester mark in puce with date code for 1940 (three circles and eight dots) and model number 3304. Height 14.7cm (5.75in)
