Information
A superb Royal Worcester 'Masked Ball' figure beautifully modelled by Gwendoline Parnell in a style reminiscent of Erté. Standing on the earlier square chequered base, this elegant lady in 18th century dress is putting on her gloves ready to go to the ball, a carnival mask hanging on a string from her arm. She is wearing a turquoise blue dress with a tiered mauve and pink underskirt, all finely hand painted. In excellent condition; no chips, cracks or restoration. A rare item to find, especially in such good order with all the intricate detail intact. Printed Royal Worcester puce mark with date code for 1936 (three interlaced circles and four dots), Registration Number 806519 and model number 3111. Hand written title 'Bal Masque'. Height 24.2cm (9.5in)
