A large rack plate with one of the ten known scenes from 'Zunday Zmocks' designed by Charles Noke. Two old chaps in stovepipe hats and best smocks are smiling from behind a wall, with a tree and hollyhocks in the background. An image with great charm and humour. In excellent condition; no chips, cracks or restoration. Rare to find in such good order. Noke signature. Printed Royal Doulton marks, Australian design registration number and impressed date for March 1937. Diameter 26.7cm (10.5in)
