A lovely 8098 rectangular dish with one of the ten known scenes from 'Zunday Zmocks' designed by Charles Noke. Two old chaps in stovepipe hats and best smocks are smiling from behind a wall, with a tree and hollyhocks in the background. An image of Olde Englande with great charm and humour. In excellent condition; no chips, cracks or restoration. Rare to find in such good order. Noke signature. Printed Royal Doulton marks, Australian design registration number and impressed date for December 1937 and shape number. Width 23.75cm (9.4in)
