Royal Doulton Under the Greenwood Tree Series 'Friar Tuck Joins Robin Hood' Rack Plate c1928

A lovely Royal Doulton rack plate from the first Under the Greenwood Tree (Robin Hood) series, depicting Friar Tuck meeting Robin. In good overall condition; no chips, cracks or restoration, although there is fine age crazing which is quite usual for these type of wares. Displays beautifully. Marked 'Under the Greenwood Tree, Royal Doulton' and painted D3751 pattern number with impressed date for 1928. Diameter 22cm (8.6in)
