Information
A lovely Breda shape teapot depicting several characters from the 'Skating' series introduced in 1907. Featured are a couple skating, a man watching, a man about to fall, two skaters with canes back to back and a man landing on his bottom (not often illustrated). In excellent condition - no chips, cracks or restoration. The lid although the correct shape, could be a replacement or factory mismatch as the knob and trim are dark green rather than dark brown (hardly noticed). Still a rare item to find and priced accordingly. Printed Royal Doulton, England mark and painted series number D2789. Length handle to spout 18cm (7.1in)
