A small tea plate size Royal Doulton Coaching Days rack plate depicting an innkeeper talking to the driver and attendants boarding (yellow coach version). Designed by the illustrator Victor Venner (fl.1904-24). Bone china series number E3804. An unusual size and in excellent condition. Royal Doulton mark and impressed date for 1927. Diameter 16.5cm (6.5in)
