Royal Doulton Professionals Series 'The Bookworm' Rack Plate D3089 c1918 (Sold)

The rarest of the Professionals series of nine characters with a shorter production run (1909- 49), this is an early version dating to around 1918 and has a green painted inner rim. In excellent condition - no chips, cracks or restoration. Mild overall crazing typical of these wares, but nothing to detract from the display value of this fine example. Printed Royal Doulton and impressed Doulton with date for 1918 and painted D3089 series reference. Diameter 26.6cm (10.5in)
