A fine Moorish Gateway jug, relief moulded and painted with a scene of two men seated beside a gateway with minarets beyond. One of twenty four known scenes designed by H. Allen. In excellent condition; no chips, cracks or restoration, and none of the crazing usually associated with these wares. Printed Royal Doulton mark and painted D4601. Height 11.5cm (4.5in)
