A superb hand coloured Royal Doulton 'Early Motoring' rack plate featuring scene 7 of 9 known comic views of veteran motoring by George Holdcroft. Two boys on a go-cart offering to tow a group of motorists who have broken down, with the caption 'Itch Yer On Guvenor?' In excellent condition; no chips, cracks, crazing or restoration. Rare to find, especially in such good order. One of the finest I've seen of this series. Printed and impressed Royal Doulton marks, with impressed date for May 1906 and painted series number D2406.
