A fine Royal Doulton 'Early Motoring' rack plate featuring scene 7 of 9 known comic views of veteran motoring by George Holdcroft. Two boys on a go-cart offering to tow a group of motorists who have broken down, with the caption 'Itch Yer On Guvenor?' In excellent condition; no chips, cracks, crazing or restoration. Rare to find, especially in such good order. A lovely example. Printed and impressed Royal Doulton marks, with impressed date for April 1908 and painted series number D2406. Diameter 26cm (10.25in)
