A good Royal Doulton Dickens Ware 'A' Series rack plate designed by Charles Noke. Depicts Dick Swiveller from 'The Old Curiosity Shop'. In excellent condition (not even the usual crazing). A fine example of this very collectible first series introduced in 1908. Royal Doulton backstamp with special Dickens Ware mark, painted pattern number D2973 and date impressed for 1928.
