A large Concord jug from the seldom seen Canterbury Pilgrims series introduced in 1909 and featuring characters from 'The Canterbury Tales' together with a portrait of Chaucer himself. In excellent condition; no chips, cracks or restoration. Some natural age related crazing typical of these wares, but nothing to detract from the display value of this lovely jug. Printed Royal Doulton mark with Canterbury Pilgrims. Height 19cm (7.5in)
