Ridgway's 'Chinese Japan' Pattern Medium Jug c1900

A superb Ridgway's 'Chinese Japan' jug printed in cobalt blue with detail painted in iron red and salmon pink. A variation based on the 'Amherst Japan' pattern, sometimes also called the 'Corey Hill' pattern. A lovely shape reminiscent of old enamelled metal jugs of the period. In excellent condition - no chips, cracks or restoration. Printed England in blue with painted red pattern number 5619. Height 16cm (6.3in)
