Rare Wiltshaw and Robinson Carlton Ware Blush 'Godetia' Cheese Dish c1900

A large and unusual early Carlton Ware cheese dish in blush ware on a vellum ground. Hand painted godetia sprays in pink and yellow cover both the inside of the base as well as the outside. Finished in best gold with a cobalt blue handle. A superb piece in excellent condition; no damage or restoration and little sign of wear. Rare to find in such good order. Printed W & R Crown and Bluebird mark with Carlton Ware and registration number 344146. Length of base 22.9cm (9in)
